Digitalis purpurea (Foxglove), the native foxglove, hardly needs any introduction, we have plants available at the beginning and end of the season as they don’t transplant well in midsummer. They do look lovely at the back of a slightly shady and damp corner and are great for wildlife. They are biennial so it’s a good idea to buy a few over two years to get a steady supply; once you have a few you will get plenty of seedlings.
