Primula beesiana is a species of candelabra Primula having pink flowers with a yellow eye. They are mid-season flowering; these do not have a large rosette out of season and will look quite small when purchased as dormant plants. This species freely hybridises with P bulleyana to give a range of colours from red through orange to yellow. These Primulas are not suitable for standing in water within the pond, but will cope with quite wet ground conditions provided that the crown and leaves are not submerged. Their ideal location would be light shade in moist soil.
