Alisma parviflora (American water plantain)

Alisma parviflora (American water plantain) has spoon shaped leaves, and an airy inflorescence of small white flowers in midsummer.

Alisma parviflora (American water plantain) is a very unusual looking marginal plant with dark green spoon-shaped leaves and an airy flower head with multiple small pinkish-white flowers. It is quite late to start into growth, usually towards the end of April. It does have rather a short season and can be susceptible to rust and black spot as the flowers fade.
