Carex muskingumensis (Musk sedge) is a grassy looking sedge which has quite ferny foliage of a light green hue, giving an appearance quite like a little bamboo. For this reason it fits in very well with a Japanese style planting. Stems are a little weak so this won’t tolerate windy conditions or wildfowl very well.
(I also have a rather unusual dwarf variety called Little Midge, only a few, if you’re interested please email me for price and availability)
