Gunnera magellanica is probably the hardiest of the mini Gunneras, but can still be killed off by a hard frost, with circular dark green pleated leaves and the same mini candles of flowers among the foliage. A good plant for edges of baskets and waterfalls which will root into shallow water, but should not have leaves or crown submerged or it will fail.
