Dryopteris filix-mas (Male fern)

Dryopteris filix-mas (Male fern) is a widespread unfussy native plant, ideal for darker and drier corners. They are almost a weed here in our large Devon garden but are one of the very few plants that will tolerate deep dry shade and look absolutely great in that position where almost nothing else will grow.
