Lysimachia nummularia (Creeping Jenny)

Lysimachia nummularia (Creeping Jenny) is a creeping native plant with lots of yellow flowers contrasting nicely against the fresh green leaves.

Lysimachia nummularia (Creeping Jenny) is a creeping native plant with a wide tolerance from wet to nearly dry conditions, excellent for ground cover, waterfall and basket edges. Lots of yellow flowers contrast nicely against the fresh green leaves. Surely one of the most useful plants and suitable for small ponds; it’s not a true marginal plant but will happily scramble about in shallow water. This plant does not establish well at low temperatures so we make it unavailable during late autumn and winter. Bare root plants are quite fiddly to plant up, so maybe potted ones are a better option here.
