Phragmites australis (Norfolk reed)

Phragmites australis (Norfolk reed) is probably the tallest and toughest of our native aquatic reeds.

Phragmites australis (Norfolk reed) is probably the tallest and toughest of our native aquatic reeds; excellent for wildfowl in large ponds and lakes, but totally unsuitable for liner ponds with its invasive habit and sharp roots. Great for bird habitat, binding erosion prone banks and thatching your roof though. If you need hundreds, please ask for a quote.
