Primula florindae (Giant Cowslip) is a tall deciduous candelabra primula with scented flowers of pale yellow. It self seeds reliably and will cope with quite wet conditions and its fine fibrous roots are quite different to other species. It’s one of the last of the candelabra primulas to flower. These Primulas are not suitable for standing in water within the pond, but can cope with quite wet ground conditions provided that the crown and leaves are not submerged. Their ideal position would be light shade and moist soil.
