Scrophularia auriculata (Water Figwort or Betony) is a native plant with small maroon flowers close to the stem, it’s a bit of a thug since the tall lax stems crowd out and flatten other nearby plants, but is great for insects, especially pollinators, which seem to love the sticky flowers.
