Ranunculus repens Pleniflorus (Double creeping buttercup) is often confused with R acris flore Pleno. It’s a sport of the creeping buttercup, not the meadow variety, and so is more vigorous and produces plenty of rooted offsets on runners. The flowers are double yellow pompoms. It’s not a true marginal so must be placed so that the leaves are not submerged, though it will happily root into shallow water.
