Iris x robusta Gerald Darby

Iris x robusta Gerald Darby is difficult to distinguish from I.v. Dark Aura, and basically does the same job. Dark purple new growth remains at the base as the leaf grows, and dark purple flowers are produced atop dark purple wiry stems. This is one of the best and most reliable water iris to grow, it’s a hybrid of Iris versicolor, so doesn’t produce viable seed.
