Aponogeton desertorum is an unusual species of water hawthorn with twin vanilla scented terminal flowers. It is less vigorous than its more commonly seen cold water cousin A distachyos and it needs a warm and shallow location to succeed. The leaves are smaller and it will not tolerate as much depth. You will receive a generous clump of seedlings of this variety rather than a single mature plant; these may take some time to produce a flowering size plant.
