Carex pendula (Weeping sedge, Pendulous sedge) is a strong, pretty much evergreen native plant with a wide range of tolerance from wet to dry. Prodigious seeding ability; I’m not going to recommend that you plant this next to your flower border, unless you fancy a lifetime of weeding them out of your beds and gravel paths, but what could look more appropriate around larger ponds and stream banks with its graceful weeping habit?
