Primula florindae Keilour hybrids are a sport of the species and are very striking when in flower with scarlet, orange and yellow drooping bells which are pleasantly scented. They can be short lived especially if exposed to a period of hot dry weather. They self seed reliably and the fine fibrous roots are quite different to other species. It’s one of the last of the candelabra primulas to flower. These Primulas are not suitable for standing in water within the pond, but can cope with quite wet ground conditions provided that the crown and leaves are not submerged. Their ideal position would be light shade and moist soil.
