Juncus inflexus (Hard rush) is a native species with stiff blue-green leaves. It makes an excellent wildlife plant as its dense habit gives great cover. It’s quick growing but not exactly invasive, and though not technically evergreen it does retain enough green through the winter to validate it as such.
