Persicaria bistorta Superba (Bistort, Pink Candles): Depending on your point of view, this is a thuggish invader or the perfect garden plant. The dock type foliage throws up pink bottle brush flowers over a very long season, and if you keep cutting it back it will keep flowering and come back for more. Good luck trying to get rid of it if you don’t want it though! Perfect ground cover for awkward spots, will grow anywhere except bone dry. I supply “Superba”, which is an improved variety with more and bigger flowers.
