Ramshorn Snails (Planorbarius corneus) are native to the UK and have an attractive coiled appearance. They are usually brown to black, though occasionally red ones can be found. They are alleged to cause less damage to plants than ordinary Pond snails (Limnaea spp) and to restrict themselves to grazing algae, though this isn’t guaranteed! Sold in packs of five.
