Astilbe mauve (False Goats Beard)

Astilbe, or false goat’s beard, is a well-known garden plant with plumes of flowers available in many colours from dark red through strident pink, purple, mauve and white. There are hundreds of varieties and I can’t stock them all, so I have chosen some of those that I consider to be the best. Choose from red, pink, mauve or white, all listed separately. It prefers a slightly shady and damp site, but will cope with a wide variation in soil types as long as it’s not squelchy wet.

This plant will rarely be available in potted form by mail order direct from the website but is usually available at the nursery in small numbers. If you are interested in obtaining it by mail order, please email us and we can often oblige. An additional packing and carriage charge may be necessary.
