Glyceria aquatica (Manna grass)

Glyceria aquatica (Manna Grass) is a lax and rapidly spreading aquatic grass, and when we say spreading we mean it! Often used by river authorities for creating habitat for birds and mammals. It makes a dense stand when planted in the ground, but in baskets tends to flop and does have a rather scruffy look, so isn’t really suitable for garden ponds. It’s best used in larger natural ponds and lakes, where it comes into its own.

This plant will rarely be available in potted form by mail order direct from the website but is usually available at the nursery. If you are interested in obtaining it by mail order, please email us and we can often oblige. An additional packing and carriage charge may be necessary.
