Hesperantha alba (Cape lily), previously Schizostylis alba, has flowers not of not snow white, but starting white and turning light pink; this attractive plant is very late to flower and can sometimes be flowering at Christmas here. It tolerates a wide range of ground conditions from moderately dry to very damp, but not waterlogged soil.
