Sagittaria graminea Crushed Ice: This variety of oar leaved arrowhead is smaller and has green oar shaped leaves leaves variably mottled with white. It’s not nearly so easy to grow as the plain species and can be difficult to get to perform well. Sagittarias have quite a short growing season, typically May to August, and outside this period will be supplied as the resting turions, which look like small acorns. Shoots on these are fragile so handle carefully.
