Dichromena colorata (Star grass) is a dainty aquatic grass with white starry bracts which last a long time in late summer. Great for smaller ponds. Most people are attracted to the look, but it is quite challenging to keep in good condition; cut back only in late Spring when new shoots appear as the old foliage will help to give some protection against frost, to which it is susceptible. Best purchased in summer, only available in small numbers.
